Consumer & Community Banking Risk Managementpartners with each CCB sub-line of business to identify, assess, prioritize andremediate risk. Types of risk that occur in consumer businesses include fraud,reputation, operational, credit, market and regulatory, among othersThe Consumer & Community Banking (CCB) Risk ControlTeam s primary function is to implement and manage an effective controlframework across the CCB Risk organization with the goal of identifying andremediating control issues with a sense of urgency, regardless of thesource. The Chase Business Banking (BB) Risk Control team partners withall other CCB Risk and Control disciplines, adding an additional line ofdefense supporting Compliance, Risk and Audit, among others. The team alsoworks in partnership on the development of new, and oversight of existing,control functions and protocols throughout Business Banking Risk and provides acentralized view of all control functions, assisting in immediate, real timeproblem detection and escalation. The team partners closely with Seniorand Executive Leadership, Legal, Compliance and Technology as well as othergroups within the Firm.Responsibilities:Directengagement with all levels of management, as requiredStay abreastof pertinent industry practices, skills and regulatory concernsUnderstandscontrol framework and how it impacts the business Ensures testwork is focused on the most critical risk areas, effectively integratingbusiness and system analysis as needed.Oversightand management of the CORE (formerly RCSA) program for BB Risk ManagementDefine andimplement the CORE program including Process Mapping, CORE test creation,issue identification, control rating and control testingSupportcross-LOB CORE initiatives to remain consistent with other Risk organizationscontrol programs as appropriate. Performtimely follow up on issues and action plans to ensure on-time andsustainable controls have been implemented Focus onself-identification of issues through CORE Testing, including remediationrecommendations when requiredPromotecollaboration among all teams within CSo Risk and Control and WCOE RiskControl OrganizationsFacilitateend-to-end process walkthroughs and deep dives with assigned businessunits. Takesinitiative and independently manages complex projects and apply advancedknowledge of risk and control concepts and how to apply to businessprocesses. Criticallyevaluates, interprets and synthesizes results to identify and summarizerisk themes, in addition to preparation for senior management reportingfor control functions and Risk Committee as appropriate.Partnereffectively with the business and functional colleagues to guide consistentand rigorous operational risk management practices, including riskcommittees, risk & control self-assessments (COREs), risk acceptances,privacy reviews, risk event analysis, operational risk/loss managementreporting, and related action plans. Articulatescomplex issues and themes to stakeholders, independent advisor to theassigned business, identifying business issues, root causes andrecommending both short term and long term action plans that address them.Inpartnership with the audit/compliance assessment team, provide substantiveguidance/advice to business partners during all phases of internal andexternal exams regarding deliverables and potential issues.
